Kitchenislandco.com is an ecommerce website that sells various categories of Kitchenislands and butcherblocks. Since this was a very niche Industry a link building campaign was initiated for a set of keywords. Based on the Client's inputs a list of keywords was shortlisted for both short term and long term keywords. The scope of the campaign was then increased to encompass the more generic keywords.

Challenges
Kitchenislandco.com was a new site built on Yahoo store and had absolutely no link backs and a Page Rank of 0. RedAlkemi suggested adding quality inbound links from related sites so that the rankings for selected keywords would start increasing. A set of links with relevant Anchor Texts were built and within a few months from absolutely no rankings, the site started showing an increase in rankings and incoming traffic to the site.

Solution
Good rankings for relevant keywords that bring in quality traffic to the website is not an overnight job. Search Engines take time to index the pages of the site. The important part is to select the right keyphrases so as to get quality traffic without a lot of investment. RedAlkemi initially focused on less competitive keywords that were related to the site products and once results were visible for these keywords, newer and more generic keywords are being added to the list.
