Challenges
Being in a competitive industry, the main challenge was to rank high for important industry related keywords and most importantly for the generic keywords like timeshares, timeshare sales, timeshare resales etc. that defined their business. Moreover, the competitor websites had a large number of affiliate sites and mirror sites, many of which differed from the main site URL by only one letter. In effect they were competing against these sites as well.

Solution
A link building campaign was initiated to get rankings on generic keywords. This steadily improved the site's ranking for the keywords over time. As a result of the improvements in rankings over a period of time the campaign was extended to further improve the rankings and also target other important keywords to get a broader coverage of ranking.
